Top Horse

We decided to visit this place called Top Horse behind our apartment building. We wanted to check it out and see what the prices were. As we arrived to the place, we realized it was the opening day. Once we enter the place we found about four people who knew English and they welcomed us. Our co-worker and friend Kyle was with us and they told us that we could try it for about 5 minutes. I went first; one of the workers showed me how to control the real life simulation horse. Then I began the ‘game’ and began to gallop, feeling like a real horse. The worker kept telling me to go faster until I was going full speed. It looked just like any other video game, but this one had a real life size animal where is rocking you and all your abs muscles are felt. It was great, it felt so exiting. Jennifer went next and she kept saying' I like this game! ' This place has ten horses and people could play against each other up to five at a time. Top Horses all over Korea can compete with e...

Seoul Lantern Festival 2013

Image
We visited the Seoul Lantern Festival today November 2, 2013. There were many displaces of lanterns displays figures with Korean culture representations. According to the Korean tourism website this even has been held in the Cheonggyecheon Stream near downtown Seoul since 2009. Walking through the narrow creek sidewalk with thousands of people was interested because the stream water flow was on the opposite direction we were walking. The lights from the lanterns provided a sense of a magical image reflecting them on the water. Everyone walking on the opposite direction of the water provides the perspective a prospective of movement to the lanterns that are immobile. It was a good experience walking through the stream and seeing many different figures. Hoy 2 de noviembre visitamos el festival de linternas en Seoul. HabĂan muchas exposiciones de linternas de figures con representaciones de la cultura Coreana. De acuerdo al sitio web del turismo de Corea, este evento ha tom...

This is the story of how we got to South Korea.  But first let me start by telling you that we first moved to Tennessee from Arlington in quest of growing closer to each other as a couple.  Living in Texas, felt like a very simple life since our family members were close and there was no room for struggle. We thought being on our own will give us the opportunity to relay on each other more so that we could find different means to solve our problems or struggles. Jennifer had finished her Bachelors degree and was looking to attend a private religious college to do Occupational Therapy. She found Milligan College. She was given an interview and we drove 14 hours. Jen was placed on the "waithing list" and we decided to move and re apply the following year. I also decided to enroll in school and began a Master of Reading with concentration in Storytelling program. To help out pay for my school, I obtain a graduate assistantship position in the Language and Culture Reso...
